Cleveland Cancer Misdiagnosis Attorney: The Shocking Global Ignorance of Cancer
Posted on March 22nd, 2019 No commentsTake it from a cancer misdiagnosis attorney in Cleveland: Most women do not know enough about ovarian cancer. Perhaps it’s time to learn.
In all 44 countries surveyed, women diagnosed with ovarian cancer didn’t know significant details about their condition, which is common among patients.
The Cost of Ignorance
Ovarian cancer could be more treatable, and even potentially curable if caught in early stages.
“No one country does it well,” Frances Reid, a study designer with the World Ovarian Cancer Coalition, told NPR. “Different countries do different things well, but then they do other things not so well.”
The knowledge just isn’t there.
“What they report is consistent with what we know about ovarian cancer,” says American Cancer Society epidemiologist Lindsey Torre, who recently wrote an overview of ovarian cancer in the US. “There’s not enough information out there.”
And that’s tragic. Lack of knowledge often leads to more deaths, more incidents of misdiagnosis. As any cancer misdiagnosis attorney in Cleveland will tell you — knowledge is power. Upon diagnosis, do your due diligence to investigate and learn as much as possible about your condition.
